After you create your account, Boltcall walks you through a three-step wizard to configure your AI receptionist. The whole process takes under two minutes.
Your AI agent is auto-configured based on the industry you select. You don’t need to write scripts, record greetings, or configure call flows manually — Boltcall handles that for you.

The setup wizard

Personal profile

The first step collects your personal details so Boltcall can associate your account with the right workspace.

Business profile

The second step tells Boltcall about your business. This information is used to configure your AI receptionist’s knowledge base and conversation style.

Choose the industry that most closely matches your business. Even if your exact niche isn’t listed, selecting a similar category gives the AI a strong starting point. You can refine the knowledge base from your dashboard after launch.
Click Next once you’ve entered your business name and selected your industry.

Review & launch

The final step shows a summary of your personal and business profile for you to confirm.You’ll see:
  • Your name, email, and country
  • Your business name and industry
If anything looks wrong, click Back to edit the previous steps.When you’re ready, click Launch. Your AI receptionist goes live immediately.
Once you click Launch, your AI receptionist is active and will start answering calls to your Boltcall number. Make sure your business name is spelled correctly before launching.

What happens after launch

When you click Launch, Boltcall runs the following in the background:
  1. Workspace created — A workspace is initialized under your account to store all your business data, agents, and leads.
  2. AI receptionist agent configured — A primary inbound agent named [Your Business] AI Receptionist is created and pre-configured for your industry.
  3. Follow-up agent created — A second agent named [Your Business] Follow-Up Agent is created to re-engage leads who haven’t booked yet.
  4. Knowledge base initialized — A knowledge base folder is created and linked to both agents. It’s pre-populated with defaults for your industry.
  5. Phone number assigned — A local phone number is assigned to your account based on your country.
  6. Dashboard ready — You’re redirected to your dashboard where you can see everything in one place.
The whole process takes about 10 seconds. A progress screen shows you what’s happening in real time.

After the wizard

Once you’re on the dashboard, here are the most useful places to go next:
Your AI receptionist is live as soon as setup completes. If you’re not ready to take live calls yet, you can pause your agent from the dashboard/agents page.
